Common questions.

▸Does this replace my Meta Pixel / GTM?

No — TrackLayer runs alongside your existing pixel. The deduplication key (event_id on both sides) tells Meta to merge. You keep client-side data for anti-adblock and gain server-side reliability. When you're ready, disable the old pixel from settings.

▸How is this different from Stape?

Stape is a managed GTM server. TrackLayer is a purpose-built pipeline. You don't write GTM tags, you don't debug triggers. We ship with the platform schemas, enrichment, and a dashboard Stape doesn't have. Flat pricing; no events-based overage.

▸Do I need a developer?

For Shopify / WooCommerce / PrestaShop — no. App/plugin install + paste-a-token onboarding. For custom stacks — a junior dev hooks up the API in under an hour.

▸Is data sent to any US server?

EU-west-1 is the default region. US-east-1 and AP-south-1 are available on Scale and up. Data at rest is encrypted; PII is hashed before it leaves the edge.

▸What events are tracked by default?

32 canonical events from page_view to purchase, refund, subscribe, and custom. The ingest worker classifies and normalises per-platform. See the Event Intelligence page for the full list.
